Tanzania Quality Summit 2022 event preview

The Tanzania Quality Summit (TQS) is an annual flagship event organised by the National Quality Association of Tanzania.

For 2022, TQS  stood by the theme of Quality Conscience: Doing the Right Thing which sheds light on how leaders of various levels can help in spreading the quality conscience culture to their employees for optimum quality compliance and creating trustworthy brands in Tanzania.

Featuring excellent keynote addresses from experienced and practicing speakers, TQS 2022 also hosted exhibitions from SMEs, Q&A Sessions involving the speakers and the participants and keynote speeches from various speakers including from certification bodies like the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) and heads of different companies.

Here is a glance of what happened at the Tanzania Quality Summit 2022 in photos.

The event begun with exhibitions from various SMEs. It offered an opportunity for the entrepreneurs not only to learn but also secure new customers and make new connections
The opening featured remarks from quality stakeholders naming from left, Magdalena Mkocha, (NQAT Board of Directors representative), Peter Marealle, (Managing Director Caps Limited), Lilian Nyaki (Programme Specialist – Head of Inclusive Growth Pillar UNDP), Eric Sambu (Managing Director SGA Security Tanzania) and Haphsa Hinja (Research and Policy expert).
NQAT’s CEO Mr Safari Fungo Addressed the Quality Summit participants introducing them to NQAT and its success in 3 years of operation.
TQS 2022 featured engaging trainings and presentations from quality experts and practitioners. The sessions allowed Q&A sessions to enable full understanding and learning.
TQS 2022 was a platform for both the public and private sector quality enthusiasts that envision a better quality sector in Tanzania.
The summit was graced by Ilala District Commissioner Hon. Ng’wilabuzu Ndatwa Ludigija who also launched NQAT’s newsletter, “Tanzania Quality Insights” that will be published quarterly.

For entertainment, TQS 2022 featured traditional dances that eased the minds of the participants to ensure maximum participation and learning.

Among the special appearances on the TQS 2022 is Ms Fatma Sogo, Faima Products Program Manager who won second place on the East African Quality Awards hosted by the East Africa Council in October 2022.
