Safari is an International Development expert in International Trade, Regional Integration and Quality Infrastructure with more than 10 years of working experience. Recently, he has been working as a Senior Regional Technical Advisor for the EU-EAC Market Access Upgrading Programme (MARKUP) with the International Trade Centre, a joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. Previously he worked for an International Development Consultancy with the UK-based firm (Landell Mills), he has also worked for African Standardization Organization – an intergovernmental African Union organization, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) just to mention a few. He is well-trained in legal instruments of international economic relations and regional integration, International Trade, Quality infrastructure development in support of world trade and structural transformation and industrial policy just to mention a few. He is a well-versed moderator having the opportunity to host several events including, Africa Business Women & Youth Summit 2021 under the theme of implementing the AfCFTA building the Africa we want, Mombasa Coffee Business Forum, EAC Quality Awards, and Tanzania Quality Summit; he has also facilitated as a resource person to the commonwealth model Global 2013 Smart Partnership Dialogue on transforming production and trade in Tanzania.
